A four-foot tall ASIMO is scheduled to conduct the Detroit Symphony Tuesday evening in a concert featuring cellist Yo-Yo Ma. ASIMO will conduct Mitch Leigh's "Impossible Dream," a song from the musical "Man of La Mancha."

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Online classifieds giant Craigslist countersued its minority owner, EBay Inc., on Tuesday, alleging the online auctioneer is violating federal and state antitrust laws.
EBay attempted to quash competition with a series of actions relating to its own classifieds site Kijiji, which launched last year in the U.S., according to Craigslist's complaint, filed in state Superior Court in San Francisco.

NEW YORK - The popular online hangout MySpace has won a $234 million judgment over junk messages sent to its members in what is believed to be the largest anti-spam award ever, The Associated Press has learned.
A federal judge ruled against two of the Internet's most prominent spam defendants, Sanford Wallace and Walter Rines, after the two failed to show up at a court hearing Monday.

NEW YORK - Video game publisher Electronic Arts Inc. posted a wider fourth-quarter loss on a slew of charges Tuesday, but adjusted results fuelled by strong game sales beat Wall Street's expectations.
Furthermore, EA's chief financial officer Eric Brown said there are no new developments in the company's US$2-billion bid to buy "Grand Theft Auto" publisher Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. EA's tender offer of $25.74 per share expires on Friday.

VANCOUVER - Intrinsyc Software International Inc. (TSX:ICS) reported a loss of US$3.8 million or three cents per share for the three months ended March 31, 2008.
That compared with a loss of US$3.6 million or four cents per share for the three months ended Feb. 28, 2007. The company starting reporting its financial results in U.S. dollars in 2008, and changed its fiscal year-end from Aug. 31 to Dec. 31.

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple Inc. has scooped up Time Warner Inc.'s HBO to feed television shows to its online iTunes store in the United States, reeling in one of the last holdouts among major channels and agreeing to a rare pricing concession to land hit shows such as "The Sopranos," "Sex and the City" and "The Wire."
The company said HBO programming began appearing on iTunes Tuesday and the shows cost either US$1.99 or $2.99 per episode for U.S. customers, making HBO the only channel allowed to charge above the standard $1.99 for their episodes on iTunes.

For hardcore gamers, controlling a video-game character is second nature. You use one joystick to run, use another stick to look around, press the right trigger to shoot and use various buttons to open doors, take cover or talk to other characters.
It all seems so obvious that I'm surprised when someone else of my generation doesn't get it. My brother-in-law, for example, is an experienced hunter and golfer but he has trouble firing a gun or swinging a club in virtual reality. Perhaps game controls have just gotten too complicated.

SAN FRANCISCO - Hewlett-Packard Co. is buying Electronic Data Systems Corp. for US$13.2 billion in a deal that will create the second largest technology services provider behind IBM.
Under the terms announced Tuesday, Palo Alto-based HP will pay $25 per share in cash for EDS, which pioneered the concept of running computer systems and providing other high-tech help for large companies and government agencies.

MONTREAL - Research In Motion's (TSX:RIM) new BlackBerry Bold is designed for high-speed networks and is aimed at business professionals globally, allowing them to send and receive e-mails while also talking on the smartphone or surfing the Internet.
The announcement of the new BlackBerry helped power shares in the Waterloo, Ont.-company above the previous record. RIM shares ended the day at $142.25, up $8.90 or 6.6 per cent and above the previous record high of $138.18.
