Benefits

The Mackenzie Group of Companies is committed to providing its employees with the best possible training and development programs, a highly competitive incentive-based compensation program, and market-leading benefits.

Base Salary
We offer a competitive base salary based on input from the numerous market surveys we participate in each year. Additionally, we have annual merit increases that are based on individual performance, which is measured throughout the year and is summarized annually through the Performance Appraisal and Development process.

Bonus Program
The annual performance bonus is based on individual performance, measured by achievement level on individual objectives, and on corporate performance, measured by key objectives in the business plan.

Group Retirement Savings Plan
The goal of the Group Retirement Savings Plan is to assist staff in saving for retirement. The plan is funded solely by the company. After a one-year qualifying period, annual contributions are made in twelve monthly payments. The first year’s contribution is equal to 5% of regular earnings. In subsequent years, the contribution is equivalent to 5% of base salary as at January 1st plus another 0.25% for every additional year of service up to the personal maximum contribution limit permitted by Revenue Canada.

Employee Share Purchase Plan
The purpose of the plan is to encourage employee ownership in the business, thereby allowing employees to identify more closely with shareholder interests in the company’s financial performance. Staff are permitted to contribute a maximum of 5% of their base salary to the plan each year. The company matches the employee’s contribution by 50%. These contributions are a taxable benefit to the employee.

For non-supervisory/non-management staff:
10 days per year of service for the first two anniversary years
15 days per year of service from the second anniversary

In addition to the above vacation entitlement, staff are provided two days for personal business each year.

Continuous Learning Program
The Company is committed to the ongoing training and development of its staff. One element of this commitment is the Continuous Learning Program. There are two categories of educational courses that are reimbursed to staff: required courses and enrichment courses. The company pays for courses that are a departmental requirement at time of registration.
